Container Unloading

Container Unloading

Palletization following container devanning

Your employee unloads the cartons from the ocean container and places them onto a conveyor belt. The Cable Robot Palletizer detects each package and palletizes them directly from the line. A continuous flow, implemented where the process yields high cost savings.

THE CHALLENGE

Unloading containers is highly labor-intensive.

Manual palletizing is physically strenuous, difficult to staff, and subject to throughput fluctuations. Standard automation is limited due to the challenges of sorting mixed cases and managing the pallet positions within reach.

THE SYSTEM

A system for picking, scanning, and sorting.

Instead of running sorting and palletizing separately, both processes are integrated: the Cable Robot Palletizer picks up the cartons directly from the conveyor line, detects each box, and stacks them over a large area onto the target pallets. No intermediate buffering, no second cell, and no manual intervention in the palletizing area.

PROCESS FLOW

In four steps.

In four steps.

01

Unloading

Cartons are continuously discharged from the container.

02

Identify

The camera/sensor system detects the dimensions and position of each box along with additional data.

03

Palletize

The Cable Robot Palletizer loads the goods onto the correct pallet.

04

Handed over

Finished pallets are registered and transported away.

Container Unloading
An unloading robot extracts the cartons from the container, while the Cable Robot Palletizer handles the remainder of the process
End of Sorter
2–8 branches with a single system, sorting depth down to the postal code level.
mixed-case palletizing
The correct bin to the correct pallet
CEP / Pick-to-Order
Pick-to-order for CEP service providers, picked and sorted in exact sequence.
Inbound-Outbound (De)palletization
Incoming and outgoing goods are automatically (de-)palletized at the same cycle rate.
